About Me:

Born into a world of deception, sex & drugs, only thing that was left for a young rock star is Rock & Roll! Columbus, OH, where Rocky, aka Don Cartel aka ToledoRoc$tar, was conceived & birthed, had been placed in the care of child services, along w/ his sister, who's 13 mos. older than he, @ the precious age of 1 (for reasons still unknown).
They were transferred 200 miles North, to Toledo, OH, to be adopted by a woman 45 yrs. older than he - Toledo became home & she became their mother.
As time progressed, only viable music sources was radio & the REAL "MTV" (w/o all the reality shows & extras - videos only). Then, VH1 came, JukeBox (pay-per-video), & BET was next.
Growing to be fond of various genres of music, & being able to adapt to anything/anybody/anywhere, Rocky took a hold of writing songs when he was 8 yrs. old & has been writing ever since.
Taking his talent on the road, to Atlanta, GA, in early 1999, he was informed of a situation brewing @ home, which brought him back to Toledo, & ended up becoming a 7 yr. prison sentence.
During his stay in Ohio's Department of Rehabilitation & Correction, Rocky had writ over 700 songs - MAYBE 150 of them are collaboration songs (give or take a few). He rocked talent shows in the joint, which gave him a special feeling about his music, because there are some VERY talented people locked up, they just didn't channel their energy in the right direction.
As they say, "Music calms the Savage Beast", & music is what got a hold of me. ALL music has messages, you must find what for fills throughout the songs.
