Feature Updates *Updated 8/18*

A few features have been updated in the past few days. The music player, all profiles and the ad section have some important new additions.

*Update*

The profile administration area has been updated to make customizing your profile a little easier. Once you are logged in and selected your profile to edit, on the top right side of the screen you will see a smaller box containing the most commonly used features for updating your profile. The full option menu is still available below this area, but commonly used items are now more conveniently located.

A new music player has been added to the home page to feature a different song every day. The song can be chosen directly or selected randomly from all available songs on the site. Got a song you want played on a certain day? Don't hesitate to ask and if we can play it, we will.

Probably the single question I'm asked the most is 'How do I set my avatar?'. To make this easier for everyone, there is a new option when uploading photos. Once you have created your gallery and are uploading a photo, select the new 'Make Avatar' option and once your photo is successfully uploaded, your new image will now be your avatar.

The site has been improved to ensure the subdomain (www.) will be added to the url when visiting the site. Whether you enter localmusiclife.com or www.localmusiclife.com, you will be directed to www.localmusiclife.com. This will regulate all traffic and eliminate some minor errors related to this issue.

The ad sponsorship program has been implemented with our first user taking advantage of this feature. For more information about our ad sponsorship program, click HERE

All profiles on the site now have the option in their 'Bio' section to choose the area they are from. You can make up to 3 selections designating the main areas you are from.

The Artist, Venue, Resource and People pages have been updated with a new search function with options to search based on where you are from.

Artist profiles now have access to upload up to 5 songs instead of the previous 2. The music players have also received an update for improved function.

The ad area on the right of the screen has been updated to show the top 3 profiles in the current polling cycle. This section will randomly select between the featured ads, non-profit ads, sponsored ads(coming soon), and a randomly selected poll type (artist, venue,resource).

Features are constantly being added and updated and we will do our best to inform you when things are changed.
